Magic City creator Mitch Glazer explains the creation of a role for rap icon Rick Ross, who plays “Butterball” an illegal gambling proprietor not to be double-crossed. This will be the rappers debut acting role but it seems as though he has adapted to the role well.
Rick Ross sat down for an interview with Justin Credible and DJ sourMILK of the LA Leakers. In the interview Rozay speaks on working with Jay-Z on Magna Carta… Holy Grail, his current relationship with Reebok, addresses the controversial U.O.E.N.O. lyric, and he makes it official that the L.A. Leakers are Black Bottle Boys!
DJ Khaled proposes to Nicki Minaj with a 10-karat diamond ring worth around half a million dollars. Khaled confesses his love for Nicki on MTV with a very special offer asking for her hand in marriage. He claims that he wanted to propose to Nicki last year on set of the video for “Take It To The Head”. First Drake now DJ Khaled, no wonder people say Rap is turning into WWE.
On Thursday (July 25), the charismatic hitmaker proposed to his YMCMB labelmate Nicki Minaj in front of MTV News cameras. “Nicki Minaj, I’m at MTV, I’m going to be honest with you; I love you,” Khaled said to the camera, speaking directly to the Pink Friday MC. “I like you, I want you, I want you to be mine.” Khaled had a heavy load to get off his chest, first telling Nicki how he feels about her, before he popped the big question: “Nicki Minaj, will you marry me?”
The We The Best CEO was clear and direct with his message. In fact, Khaled is so serious that he came to the studio with a 10 karat radiant cut diamond ring from Rafaello & Co. in Manhattan’s famed diamond district. The ring is valued at about $500,000.
If DJ Khaled was really ready to settle down, I’m sure he’d come with much more than just this heartfelt message, on national TV and now YouTube, to make Nicki Minaj his wife. I’m assuming this isn’t serious just some sort of promo for his upcoming album Suffering From Success. Possibly the concept for his new single that is set to feature vocals from the superstar rapstress. But who knows?
Elliott Wilson’s The Truth segment on Jay-Z’s Life+Times YouTube channel has had some brilliant interviews/videos in the past but none so insightful as this. Elliott Wilson heads to the Bronx for an interview with Jay-Z. Sitting in the New York Yankees baseball museum at Yankee Stadium, Jay-Z speaks on “Magna Carta… Holy Grail”; new rules in the music business; his philosophy on collaborations; the connection he has to New York; and the future of rap.
In the second part of the 2-part #FactsOnly interview, Jay-Z gives Elliott Wilson a glimpse into his views on respect and competition within the music world; the shared stories between sports and hip hop; his thoughts on the Trayvon Martin ruling, and his perspective on parenting.
Since taking over from the legendary Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United, David Moyes has made no secret of his desires of signing a new playmaker preferably to partner Michael Carrick in the heart of the midfield.
With one player having already rejected a move in favour of Champions League winners Bayern Munich, of course I am speaking of Thiago Alcantara, Moyes’ desperation has stepped up a gear or two.
Next target Thiago’s teammate Cesc Fabregas, the former Arsenal skipper. In an optimistic bid to lure the Barcelona maestro to Old Trafford, United have already had a bid turned down. But recent reports have suggested that United will not be put off that easily and have made a second audacious bid.
The former Arsenal talisman, who is at the moment behind Andres Iniesta and Xavi Hernandez in the pecking order, would relish a return to the Premier League and more importantly first team football.
Whether that will be at Manchester United come next season remains to be seen. And not to mention that Arsenal have a first refusal clause in Fabregas’ contract which indicates that if Wenger so wishes to match the Premier League champions bid then they too would be in line to sign the 26 year-old.
These are anxious times ahead for both Premier League clubs and FC Barcelona who are also manager-less following the unfortunate resignation of Tito Villanova, as he hopes to make a steady recovery from cancer.

Kanye West got into an altercation outside the airport with a photographer. For the last few
weeks years he’s been on a rampage with paparazzi even going as far as to say “never talk ever again” to paparazzi who were pestering him. Rather than a melt down this all just seems like Kanye is enjoying himself with the extra press, he loves to be the centre of attention like his girlfriend Kim Kardashian.
The price of fame comes with Flashing Lights and Mr West seems to love it.
